Christos
brings nearly 20 years of consumer product and retail experience
to Alpha. Upon graduating from the University of Michigan
School of Undergraduate Business, Christos was employed in
the highly selective brand management program at the Clorox
Company. After 3 years in brand management, he was accepted
to the Harvard Business MBA program, but decided to follow
his long-term dream of working for the Walt Disney Company.
During his five-year tenure
at Disney, he rose to become the head of marketing for the
Disney Stores in Europe at the age of 29. He left Disney and
accepted the Vice President of Marketing slot for the Virgin
Megastore chain in the US. Christos led the marketing efforts
during the chain's expansion from 2-22 locations. At Virgin,
he was promoted to Executive Vice President and was responsible
for a $50 million buying budget and a staff of 100.
While at Virgin, Christos conceptualized
and provided seed money for a unique retail concept which
resales very high end clothing from high profile individuals.
The store, Decades Two, has been a runaway success. Sales
have quintupled in 5 years to almost $1.5 million, and has
recently been the section two lead story in the Wall Street
Journal. Christos joined the venture full-time three years
ago.
Christos was recently featured
as one of the most 15 fashionable men in the world by Japanese
Vogue and has been seen in the pages of Vanity Fair, Los Angeles
Magazine, Glamour, DNR, Angeleno, and Vogue as well as on
the Home and Garden Network show, Landscaper's Challenge.
