Like the cliche kinda goes, a basic tee is hard to find...
While you might wanna throw on any ol V Neck you find in the drawer, the fit, the fabric, the weight, the hand, the color gotta be just right...who knew there could be so much to think about with a simple basic tee!?!? If you want to get the most out of your tee, these all matter.
So here is a look at some of Alpha's fave plain ol tees for this season:
This is John Varvatos' last colab with Converse (although for Fall Converse Black Canvas brought to you by the same team will be hitting shelves) and as always the basics are spot on. You might think that $65 is a bit much for a short sleeve V Neck, however, if you really think about it a basic tee might be one of the most worn items in your wardrobe. The detailing of this shirt, contrast top stitching, binded V neck, and supple SLUB COTTON make it well worth the price!
Don't be Afraid of Color

Or if you are, go with a neutral, desert gray...
Basic Not Basic
One of our most popular Tees this season has been the Howe Solid V Neck. At $38 this shirt is a steal. Light weight, simple, with a little distressing to give it some umph. This is the must have tee for every guy!

Xtra Hot Burn Out
Wet Cement has been printing some of the most interesting graphic tees we sell. They're not for everyone though. However, most every guy loves the feel, the fit, and the look of a burnout tee (A chemical process that leaves the tee extra worn and torn - like you've had it since the 70's) Now, you can get the WC burnout sans the graphic.
Subtle Stripe
I am a big fan of monochromatic anything! While the nautical stripe is uber popular this year, some people might not want to be so on the nose. Here is the perfect way to give a nod to the trend without being so literal...the worst crime of fashion in my mind. Tone on tone stripes give you a hint of sailor without putting it on blast.

Tighter isn't always Better
Personally, I've been trying to get away from the tight tee for a while now. Sometimes it's harder for smaller guys like me who don't have the shoulders to pull a loser dare I say blousier tee off. BUT, I've been watching all the skinny hipster kids who come into the store and some of them have taken this idea to the extreme...give them a belt and they could be wearing a dress ;) For those of, Riviera Club is a brand I have been pushing for 3 seasons now and they're take on the tee is a little different than the rest. Baggier with a curved seam at the bottom and a great pocket detail , this (again) SLUB COTTON Tee has bee a surprise hit this season.
